Get back to running. Properly. Not just pain-free — actually ready for the mileage. Evidence-based treatment and a real return-to-run plan from a sports therapist who trains runners for a living.

A niggle you "run through" is how a two-week injury becomes a two-month one.
Shin pain that won't shift. A knee that flares up past 5k. A stress reaction you're trying to train around. The difference between a quick recovery and a recurring injury almost always comes down to one thing: having an actual plan for getting back to running — not just treatment for the pain.

Running injuries I see regularly

Plantar fasciitis
Heel and arch pain, typically worse first thing in the morning.

Achilles tendinopathy
\nStiffness or pain in the tendon, often worse after rest.

Runner's knee
Ache around or behind the kneecap, especially on hills or stairs.

ITB syndrome
Sharp pain on the outside of the knee, usually creeping in at a consistent distance.

Shin splints & bone stress injuries
Pain along the shin that builds with mileage — the one most often dismissed as "normal" until it isn't.

Hamstring & calf strains
Sudden tightness or a "grabbing" sensation, often during faster efforts or hills.

Not on the list? Get in touch anyway — this covers the common ones, not all of them.

Training for an event?

Let's get you to the start and finish line uninjured.

Injury risk climbs fastest in the final stretch of training, when volume peaks. Regular check-ins through your training block — alongside sports massage and load monitoring — catch small issues before they become the reason you don't start. Works whether you're training the roads out of Ledbury or the Malvern Hills trails.
